Welcome

We praise God that you've found us!

Our Courage and EnCourage chapters are located in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. We welcome you to join our faith family.

Courage

Courage is an apostolate of the Roman Catholic Church. It seeks to help persons with same-sex attractions develop an interior life of chastity and move beyond the confines of the homosexual identity to a more complete identity in Christ. Courage offers a place to gather with others who are committed to helping one another to live chaste lives marked by prayer, fellowship, and mutual support.

On November 28, 2016, Courage received canonical status in the Roman Catholic Church as a diocesan clerical public association of the faithful, making it the only canonically-approved apostolate of its kind.

Meetings

Courage (English) meets once a month on a Saturday.

EnCourage

EnCourage is a ministry, within Courage, dedicated to the spiritual needs of parents, siblings, children, and other relatives and friends of persons with same-sex attractions.

Standing by the true teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, EnCourage members support one another and their loved ones through discussion, prayer, and fellowship.

This ministry was first formed in 1987 by families in search of guidance and understanding for supporting loved ones who experience same-sex attractions.

Meetings

EnCourage has two chapters:

  • English
  • Spanish (EnCourage Latino)

Both chapters meet once a month on different Saturdays.
